There is nothing that holds more power than peace. Encouraging people to stand up for peace,

here and abroad, will make a difference. The International Day of Peace was established in 1981

by resolution 36/67 of the United Nations General Assembly. In 2001, the United Nations

unanimously established September 21 as an annual day of non-violence and cease-fire.

As a language that needs no translation, music is the perfect way to communicate peace.

That’s why we’re so excited to bring IDP celebrations to Winnipeg, now an annual event!

World Peace Partners is an initiative of Rotary International District 5550 in partnership with the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, Friends of the Canadian Museum for Human Rights and four Winnipeg Universities: University of Manitoba, University of Winnipeg, Canadian Mennonite University and College Universitaire de Saint-Boniface
